New Home

Hello everyone! We are moving! No not the studio…….no not our home…..although it’s pretty cold (it’s like 20 outside right now) these days and somewhere warm might be nice. We are moving the blog!! It has a new home and a couple of new features like a twitter feed – I know scary. The new blog is now located at

www.studio280photography.com

So if you have an RSS feed or you are subscribing by email you may want to update your feed or switch it to the new site. Along with this new site we also be trying to give you updates more frequently along other new features. Stay tuned for more exciting news – but you have to go to the new site to see it – it won’t be here anymore – this will be old news (don’t worry I moved the recent posts for everyone). Oh and let me know what you like or don’t like about the new site.

Wanted:Class of 2010 Models 04.16.09

Class of 2010 do you want to model for our studio? We have a several model openings available, to download a application email Tom for a link. By being a part of the studio 280 Senior model program, you will be eligible for exclusive rewards and bonuses (total value of more than $1000). The more referrals you get, the larger the reward!

Each Model will receive a personalized portrait session(s). All sessions should be completed no later than June 15th, 2009.  In addition, you’ll get the opportunity to earn some faboulous stuff when you send your classmates to Northern Images for their senior portraits too!

I’m Bored 03.04.09

Now that I’ve settled back into the studio after all of my winter traveling I’ve decided to bring back one of my promotions from last winter. The Tom’s Bored promo.

I’ve always said that I love what I do so much I’d do it for free if I could afford to! Well…….. March is such a slow time around the studio, that I get bored. It’s not warm enough to do portraits outside. The end of the year school dances are still 6 weeks away. Most weddings won’t start till May (although I do have one in April in Newport…. yeah! see you soon Kevin & Laurie!)

So to help from getting too bored, I decided to create portraits for FREE!!! So for the next several weeks, March 6-31st I will make your portrait for FREE………NO SESSION FEE!!! You get a full custom session, if you don’t want to order anything…….that’s OK! Or if you do…That’s OK too. Either way I get to do what I love which is photograph people. So call today and schedule an appointment………. it’ll be fun!!!

Last year I got to photograph babies, newborns, couples in love, high school buddies, brother’s and sisters……..it was awesome! I have several appointments already but still have room for more. I will be posting recent sessions soon.

Las Vegas 01.04.09

I recently attended a senior portrait artists event in Las Vegas at the Red Rock Resort & Casino. This was a great opportunity to work and network with some of the top photographers from around the country. Before the event started we went out to work with some actual high school seniors at the neon graveyard in Las Vegas then later that afternoon we headed out to Red Rock Canyon to play some more. These models won a nation wide search to become our SPA models. They received VIP treatment and a all expenses paid trip to model for us. How cool is that? Our studio will be participating in this program next year. So if your in the class of 2010 and are interested in participating in the program shoot me an email and I’ll add you to the list. Next year’s trip will be to warm and sunny San Diego in January! I’m already signed up to go.

Winter Hours

December 30, 2008 – 12:14 am

For the next few months will be open by appointment or by chance (Amy is usually in M-F morning). I will be traveling to conferences while we go through our normal slow down during the winter. If you need to pick something up please call us first. 508.833.0080

Regular hours will return in March.

Where am I going? I will be heading to Vegas on New Year’s Day for a conference on senior portrait photography then I have a few days off before Imaging USA starts in Phoenix. Imaging is one of the largest photography conferences in the nation. I’ll be checking out some new products to bring to you in 09 and hearing from our industry leaders in portrait and wedding photography.

In February I’ll be traveling with the family for a vacation in Florida. I will be staying in Cocoa Beach during winter vacation. Actually if you’re going to be in the Orlando area and want to do a beach portrait over winter break just let me know.

While I’m gone and the few weeks I’m back in town we will be doing our annual business portrait sale……….need an update? Give us a call and we can get you that new photo for your web site or business cards for just $99.

Junkyard Senior 07.29.08

This year’s seniors have been a lot of fun so far. Recently I got a call from Kayla’s mom asking if I would go to Middleboro to photograph her daughter in a junkyard! She soon found out that not only was her daughter a little different but so was the photographer she hired. I was so excited to do something different than the beach. I luv, luv doing beach portraits but something a little different gets the creative process going.
