New Home

Hello everyone! We are moving! No not the studio…….no not our home…..although it’s pretty cold (it’s like 20 outside right now) these days and somewhere warm might be nice. We are moving the blog!! It has a new home and a couple of new features like a twitter feed – I know scary. The new blog is now located at

www.studio280photography.com

So if you have an RSS feed or you are subscribing by email you may want to update your feed or switch it to the new site. Along with this new site we also be trying to give you updates more frequently along other new features. Stay tuned for more exciting news – but you have to go to the new site to see it – it won’t be here anymore – this will be old news (don’t worry I moved the recent posts for everyone). Oh and let me know what you like or don’t like about the new site.

Thanks for following!

2010 Senior Model Rachel

Rachel’s portrait sessions took place at our studio here in Heritage Park along with the boardwalk in Sandwich. The blue & yellow that you see is a new addition to this year’s indoor background selections! I photographed her indoor session and our photographer Eric Menz photographed many of her portraits on the beach at the boardwalk. Seniors don’t wait till August to book your beach sessions…….you may be out of luck……….call us today 508.833.0080.

It’s that time of year again. Last year you voted us into the top 3 wedding photographers on Cape Cod. Voting began a few weeks ago so please vote for us and your favorite shops and businesses on the Cape! A great resource for finding great places to eat and see while you are on Cape Cod.

Event Help Wanted

I am currently looking for part time staff to help with our busy prom, sports and graduation season. I will be taking applications for both part time event photographers as well as event assistants. Individuals should have a positive outlook and be outgoing and like to work with children. You must also be available nights and weekends in the month of May as well as June. Ideal for college and high school students as well as moms looking to make some extra money before summer officially begins. Call the studio or stop by to fill out an application 508-833-0080.

Las Vegas 01.04.09

I recently attended a senior portrait artists event in Las Vegas at the Red Rock Resort & Casino. This was a great opportunity to work and network with some of the top photographers from around the country. Before the event started we went out to work with some actual high school seniors at the neon graveyard in Las Vegas then later that afternoon we headed out to Red Rock Canyon to play some more. These models won a nation wide search to become our SPA models. They received VIP treatment and a all expenses paid trip to model for us. How cool is that? Our studio will be participating in this program next year. So if your in the class of 2010 and are interested in participating in the program shoot me an email and I’ll add you to the list. Next year’s trip will be to warm and sunny San Diego in January! I’m already signed up to go.

School Event Season – Done!

Whew! What a spring! Our school/sports division finishes today with a small graduation in Marblehead. During the last 8 weeks my team photographed 5 sports leagues, 10 proms, 1 preschool, and 12 graduations from Manchester, CT to right here on Cape Cod.

The difference this year is that I tried to do my own weddings and portraits while my photographers handled the other assignments. My good friend Chris Odom seen in the background laughing at me came up from Florida to help run some of the teams in the field. Chris wanted out of the Miami sun for a few days – who was I to say no. Thanks Chris!
